Aberdeen.

Today, we drove into Aberdeen. We had bigger plans than we actually executed, but it was a good day anyway.

We have visited the Aberdeen Art Gallery several times over the years. It's a small gallery, in a wonderful old building.

In a court on one end of the building, there's a war memorial. This lion is on the outside of that part of the building.

The gallery features work by Scots artists, but there's an amazing range of work.

There's wonderful, filtered light coming from above in just about every room.

Marble and granite.

I love coming back to a museum more than one time, to see what's the same and what's different.

We saw an installation by this same artist when we were in Dublin.

In front of a painting of the clearing of the Highlands, there was a box of toys, all of which represented something in the painting. Eli was a fan of this donkey.
