Let the people decide.

I am sick again.

It's the same, or a similar, old cold/sinus thing. Today is day 2, technically, because day 1 began on Sunday, middle of the day. I canceled my morning appointments, thinking that if I slept, I'd feel good enough to go into work for the latter half of the day. Then I canceled my afternoon appointments. I slept, I sniffed, I blew my nose. I made tea. I ate toast. I took off my work outfit and saved it for tomorrow. I thought about doing work, but honestly: my head hurt. And who can give good feedback to students when her head hurts? With a sinus-esque ferocity?

Anyway. I really want to know, the people:

I think it might be curative for me to know the answer.

And in xtranormal form: (I think my avatar has a little problem with air quotes--)

  1. Rude. Definitely rude. If you are brave, you can google neti pots. Lots of people swear by them for getting rid of sinus nastiness. That or saline rinses. It is an unpleasant thought, but apparently one that will help speed the process to health along, which we definitely want!

  2. Amelia's advice is great. I know people who swear by neti pots, too. That said, they are a little scary. Maybe you could get your avatar to use the neti pot and you would reap the benefits. Just an idea.

  3. "Who can give good feedback to students when her head hurts?" Amen, sistah. I ask myself this question all the time. Hope you're feeling better.

  4. Can I tell you how much I HATE the fact that you're sick? Again? I am feeling sympathetic sinus problems all the way across the valley.

    Take care.

  5. I love your avatar's final gesture! And if it works to let her use the neti - please do let the rest of us know about it!

I said rude, too. But I hope it also means that spring is soon on the way.
